Wood Motor Company

About

Building a Legacy

Wood Motor Company was started in 1971 by Bill Wood in Harrison, AR. Bill was an extremely savvy businessman who not only excelled as a car dealer and a man of the community, but he parlayed his success into other business ventures as well.

Bill had two sons, Steve and Phillip, who joined him in business as they added hotels and a cattle farm. The Wood Motor Company family believes in treating every person fairly no matter their background, being transparent, and telling the truth no matter what. That is how you build and maintain trust with customers and employees.

In 2019, Steve's daughter and son in law, Chip and Jessica Johnson bought into the company and together with Phillip have steadily grown the business. In 2019, they added a Ford and Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram store to the Chevrolet and Nissan Franchises, followed by Wood Powersports in Harrison in the Fall of 2020. From that point they have added Nissan of Lee’s Summit, Wood Powersports Stores in Springdale, and Fayetteville, Wood Motor CDJR and Ford in Carthage, and now Bishop Maserati and Bishop Alfa Romeo in Dallas. They are in a steady growth mode looking to continue to provide the best automotive experience in the business.
